Where Are They Now?
Port Washington High School shares the exciting ways students are using the eRack in the classroom.
Port Washington High School in Port Washington, Wisconsin, was awarded an eRack in fall of 2016 after submitting a proposal for an eRack giveaway sponsored by Aquaneering. The eRack will be used as a cornerstone of research and exploration for the STEM curriculum in Project Lead The Way (PLTW) classes, as well as Advance Placement Environmental Science and other traditional courses, such as chemistry and biology.
A new science wing to the high school is currently under construction with a separate room designated for the eRack and an aquaponics tank.

Students will have the opportunity to work with zebrafish to study heart and genetic diseases along with other research topics.
The eRack has proven itself to be an valuable learning tool right from the beginning. As soon as the system was up and running, students were excited about observing and participating in new developments in the zebrafish, and they peppered teachers with questions about the curriculum, research, and zebrafish husbandry.
